Listed below are commonly used fluids used around the shop, and these fluids perform a host of uses such as lubrication, heat transfer, thread treatment, power transmission (n.b. power steering), and stored energy (in the case of gasoline or diesel). Without all these fluids (including air) an automobile wouldn't work. Each link below offers a brief overview of the function of the fluid.
